Head of Human Resources – Business Partnering

About the role

The Head of Human Resources (Business Partnering) will lead the full spectrum of operational and strategic HR activities across the organisation. Reporting to senior leadership, this role partners with business leaders to translate people needs into effective strategies that drive growth, engagement and a high‑performing culture.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic and tactical HR support to line managers on employment issues, conflict resolution and HR processes while ensuring compliance with legislation.
• Lead end‑to‑end resource planning, including budgeting and recruitment, to meet business growth objectives.
• Manage and continuously improve employee benefit programmes to enhance productivity.
• Collaborate with the Learning Institute team to drive skills and capability development initiatives.
• Develop and implement people strategies that boost productivity, communication and organisational capability.
• Partner with leaders to design and embed HR policies and practices that support strategic growth.
• Work with HR teams across the group to champion a culture of excellence and employee engagement.
• Analyse people data and reports to inform decision‑making and provide proactive solutions.
• Support the development and reinforcement of organisational culture aligned with broader goals.
• Undertake any additional duties as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a senior HR professional in a similar role.
• Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM‑SCP, SHRM‑CP, CIPD) preferred.
• Proven experience as a strategic partner within a dynamic organisation.
• Deep knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Commercial awareness and business acumen.
• Ability to manage complex structures, juggle priorities and meet deadlines.
• Team‑player comfortable working in a matrix environment and influencing stakeholders.
