Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Financial Controller to lead the finance function of our dynamic marketing agency. You will be responsible for delivering accurate financial statements, ensuring compliance with Myanmar regulations, and providing strategic insights to support business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, analyse and present monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Maintain core accounting records in line with local standards and company policies.
• Review and approve client invoices, receipts and internal expense claims.
• Act as primary liaison with tax authorities for monthly/annual tax filings, commercial taxes and corporate income tax.
• Coordinate with external auditors during annual reviews and prepare required schedules.
• Advise the Managing Director by translating financial data into strategic business insights.
• Conduct budget forecasting, variance analysis and profitability tracking for campaigns and client accounts.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, ACA preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of finance/accounting experience, preferably in an agency or project‑based environment.
• Strong commercial mindset with excellent attention to detail.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
