Finance Officer

About the role

Impact Hub Yangon is seeking a Finance Officer to lead its financial operations, ensure accurate reporting, and support strategic planning. The role reports directly to the directors and supervises a Finance Assistant, contributing to the organization’s mission of fostering entrepreneurship in Myanmar.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain the company’s financial system, ensuring accurate data entry, reconciliation, and timely reporting.
• Review and submit payment requests, guaranteeing compliance with financial policies and budget guidelines.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, perform regular bank reconciliations, and maintain financial documentation.
• Supervise and mentor the Finance Assistant, providing guidance and quality checks on routine tasks.
• Handle vendor relationships, collect quotations, and process payments for services such as travel, accommodation, and venues.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist in budget development, monitor expenditures, and report on budget variances.
• Maintain proper financial records for internal control and audit readiness.
• Identify gaps in financial processes, implement solutions, and strengthen internal controls.
• Serve as a key contact during audits and drive continuous improvement in financial operations.

Required profile

• In‑depth knowledge of financial systems, accounting principles, and regulatory standards.
• Strong analytical, budgeting, and financial reporting abilities.
• Demonstrated experience supervising staff and managing day‑to‑day financial operations.
• LCCI Level 3 or higher; a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• High integrity, organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
