Finance Officer

About the role

Education Valley is seeking a responsible and detail‑oriented Finance Officer to manage its financial operations, accounting records, commission tracking, and related administrative functions. The role supports the financial management of the organization and its international education services.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare invoices, receipts, payment vouchers and other financial documents.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure proper documentation.
• Monitor company income, expenses, cash flow and bank transactions.
• Track student payments, partner commissions, operational expenses and outstanding balances.
• Manage accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP).
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, including P&L, balance sheets and cash‑flow statements.
• Prepare tax‑related documents and ensure timely tax compliance.
• Assist in budgeting, financial planning and expense control.
• Coordinate with banks, vendors, partners and service providers for payments and financial matters.
• Maintain payroll records and staff‑related financial documentation.
• Support management with financial analysis and reporting.
• Perform other finance and administrative duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum two years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or a related area.
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Myanmar and English languages.
• High sense of responsibility, integrity and professionalism.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information.
• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
