FIG RM – Institutional Business Development (Global Trade)

About the role

The Financial Institutions Group (FIG) Relationship Manager will lead institutional business development on a global scale, focusing on originating new financial institution counterparties and managing existing partnerships for trade transactions worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, originate, and onboard new institutional counterparties.
• Maintain and grow the portfolio of existing institutional partners.
• Provide coverage and strategic oversight of institutional relationships.
• Conduct market intelligence, analysis, and develop trade finance strategies.
• Set financial targets and monitor performance against them.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics or a related field; MBA or Master’s preferred.
• 5‑7 years of experience in banking or financial services, specifically in FIG, correspondent banking, trade finance or institutional coverage.
• Proven track record working with international financial institutions.
• Excellent negotiation, presentation and communication abilities.
• Strong analytical and market‑research capabilities.
• Fluent in English; additional language a plus, Chinese preferred.
• Self‑starter, result‑oriented and able to work independently.
• Reports to the Head of Financial Institutions Group.
