Field Accountant – RISE Project

About the role

The Field Accountant will support the RISE Project in Myanmar, ensuring financial management, compliance and partner support align with World Vision policies, donor regulations and grant guidelines. This role involves daily cash handling, payment processing, and close collaboration with project teams and implementing partners.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and process financial documents in line with World Vision policies and donor requirements.
• Administer project cash and bank transactions, maintain daily cash books and conduct cash counts.
• Process payment vouchers (CDVs, DVs, JVs) accurately and on time.
• Maintain secure filing of all financial records and supporting documents.
• Utilize World Vision financial systems such as ProVision and Concur.
• Monitor compliance with donor regulations, procurement policies and internal controls.
• Conduct regular monitoring visits to project sites and partner offices to verify transactions and assess compliance.
• Prepare monitoring reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Review partners’ financial reports and provide technical guidance.
• Participate in procurement processes and verify proper recording of project assets.
• Prepare fund forecasts, cash flow projections and fund request documentation.
• Support audit compliance, implement recommendations and follow up on corrective actions.
• Undertake additional assignments delegated by supervisors.
