Enterprise Risk Officer – Operational Risk

About the role

The Enterprise Risk Officer (Operational Risk) will lead the identification, assessment, monitoring and reporting of operational risks across uab bank’s business units. Based in Yangon, this full‑time position works closely with business lines and support functions to strengthen the bank’s enterprise risk framework.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate operational risks across all banking activities and maintain risk registers.
• Perform risk and control assessments, develop and update policies and procedures.
• Monitor key risk indicators and prepare regular risk reports for senior management.
• Support incident analysis, root‑cause reviews and the implementation of mitigation plans.
• Collaborate with audit, compliance and other stakeholders to promote a strong risk culture.
• Deliver risk awareness training and ensure compliance with internal guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, risk management or related field.
• Professional certifications such as FRM, PRM or equivalent are a plus.
• Prior experience in banking or financial services risk management, operational risk or internal audit.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and report‑writing abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
