Engineering & Reliability Manager – FMCG Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking an Engineering & Reliability Manager to lead manufacturing reliability and equipment performance improvements for a high‑volume FMCG producer. Reporting to senior management, you will develop and execute engineering and maintenance strategies that minimise downtime and boost overall equipment effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate current maintenance practices and identify root causes of recurring equipment failures.
• Design and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programmes.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives, optimise spare‑parts management and enhance engineering controls.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality and Operations to develop maintenance KPIs and monitor equipment performance trends.
• Support equipment upgrades, process improvements, CAPEX projects and technical problem‑solving.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Significant experience leading engineering and maintenance functions in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record of reducing equipment downtime and improving maintenance effectiveness.
• Experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, consumer products or similar high‑volume sectors is a plus.
