Demi Chef

About the role

The Demi Chef will join the Rose Garden Hotel kitchen team in Yangon, supporting the preparation and cooking of menu items across breakfast, lunch and dinner services while upholding the hotel’s culinary standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare mise en place and execute hot and cold dishes according to recipes.
• Assist with banquet and event menus, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Maintain a clean and safe workstation, following food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Coordinate with fellow kitchen staff to ensure timely service during all meal periods.
• Help train junior team members and contribute to an efficient kitchen environment.

Required profile

• Strong culinary skills in food preparation, cooking techniques and plating.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene practices and kitchen sanitation.
• Experience in a hotel, restaurant or banquet kitchen with high‑volume service.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural team and respond to feedback.
• Good time‑management, attention to detail and capacity to work under pressure.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and holidays as required.
• Culinary certification or relevant training is highly beneficial.
• Basic English communication for coordination within the hotel.
