Auditor

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site Auditor position is based in Yangon and supports the finance and inventory functions of a growing gold and jewellery business. You will review financial records, transaction logs and inventory documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance and strong internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily reviews of cash handling, sales and purchase records.
• Reconcile inventory levels of gold and jewellery items against system reports.
• Identify discrepancies, assess risks and prepare audit reports.
• Recommend and help implement process improvements and corrective actions.
• Monitor adherence to internal policies and support periodic supplier audits.

Required profile

• Ability to conduct detailed financial reviews and reconciliations.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles, internal controls and audit methodologies.
• Relevant diploma or degree in accounting, finance, business or related field; certifications are a plus.
• High integrity, reliability and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work with management and operational staff.

Required skills

• Proficiency with spreadsheets (e.g., Excel).
• Experience using accounting or point‑of‑sale software.
• Quick learning of new digital tools.
