Audit Manager

About the role

The Audit Manager will lead both internal and external audit engagements for Petro & Trans Company Limited, ensuring robust financial integrity and compliance across the organization. Based in Yangon, the role combines strategic risk assessment with hands‑on audit execution, supporting senior management in governance and transparency.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize and manage internal and external audit projects, developing risk‑based audit plans and detailed audit programs.
• Conduct thorough reviews of financial statements, accounting records and operational processes.
• Evaluate internal control systems, identify financial, operational and compliance risks, and recommend practical improvements.
• Lead, mentor and supervise audit team members, assigning tasks, monitoring progress and ensuring timely completion.
• Prepare clear, actionable audit reports and present findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, accounting standards and company policies, and monitor corrective action implementation.
• Collaborate closely with Finance, Accounting and other business units to provide guidance on audit best practices and compliance requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA or equivalent (preferred).
• Proven experience in audit management, financial reporting and risk assessment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, audit methodologies and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to travel frequently for business purposes.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
