Assistant QA Manager (Food Safety & Quality)

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant QA Manager to support the development, implementation and monitoring of quality management systems for KFC Myanmar. The role will work closely with the QA Manager, restaurants and suppliers to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Quality Management System, supporting compliance with HACCP, ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, Myanmar FDA and YUM! requirements.
• Review and create QA procedures, SOPs, work instructions, checklists and other controlled documents.
• Coordinate product testing (microbiological, chemical, sensory, shelf‑life) and maintain product specifications.
• Plan, conduct and report internal food safety and quality audits for restaurants and supply chain.
• Monitor supplier performance, maintain audit results, deviations, complaints and CAPA status.
• Support investigations of non‑conformities, customer complaints and food safety incidents, including root‑cause analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Food Safety, Manufacturing, Restaurant Operations or Food Supply Chain.
• Experience with QSR, food manufacturing or FMCG environments and conducting food safety audits is preferred.
• Experience managing suppliers and product quality issues is an advantage.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HACCP, ISO 9001 and FSSC 22000 standards.
• Food safety auditing and root‑cause analysis.
• Supplier quality performance monitoring.
