Assistant Legal Manager

About the role

The Assistant Legal Manager provides proactive legal advisory and corporate secretarial support, ensuring that business activities, contracts, policies and governance practices comply with applicable laws and regulations. The role works closely with cross‑functional teams to mitigate legal risks while enabling business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts, promotional materials, content and vouchers.
• Prepare internal policies and procedures for various departments.
• Manage corporate records, maintain legal document registers and submit required reports.
• Support board and statutory compliance, liaise with government authorities for filings and approvals.
• Provide timely legal advice on a wide range of business topics and stay updated on legislative changes.
• Coordinate with external counsel, auditors, vendors and business partners.
• Design and deliver in‑house legal training for staff.

Required profile

• Law degree or equivalent legal qualification.
• Experience in corporate secretarial functions and commercial contract management.
• Strong understanding of local regulatory environment and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional stakeholders.
