Assistant Legal Manager

About the role

The Assistant Legal Manager is a full‑time, on‑site position in Yangon, supporting the organisation’s legal activities across property and recruitment operations. You will work closely with internal teams and external counsel to ensure business practices comply with relevant laws and internal standards.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and organise legal documents, contracts and agreements.
• Assist in managing day‑to‑day legal affairs and coordinate with external counsel when needed.
• Provide internal legal guidance on policies, procedures and compliance matters.
• Monitor legal compliance, track regulatory changes and prepare management reports.
• Help resolve commercial and employment‑related legal issues.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional departments to align business practices with legal requirements.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in law with ability to interpret statutes and regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B or equivalent); additional certifications are a plus.
• Relevant experience in corporate, commercial or real‑estate law; recruitment or property sector experience is advantageous.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and the local language.
• Ability to work on‑site in Yangon, manage multiple tasks and collaborate effectively.
