Assistant Chief Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Chief Accountant to support the Group Chief Accountant in overseeing group‑level accounting and financial operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and effective coordination across business units.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Group Chief Accountant in overall accounting and financial management.
• Review and monitor accounting transactions and financial reports.
• Ensure accurate and timely month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Assist with budgeting, cash‑flow management and financial analysis.
• Coordinate with finance teams across various business units.
• Maintain compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and company policies.
• Provide support on other financial matters as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) preferred.
• 5–7 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a group or corporate setting.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles and taxation.
• Good leadership, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
