Assistant Account Manager

About the role

The Assistant Account Manager is responsible for maintaining the financial integrity of the company by supervising daily accounting operations, verifying ledger accuracy, and overseeing reporting frameworks such as AR/AP and inventory tracking. The role also includes budget variance analysis, cost optimization, tax compliance, and providing guidance to junior accounting staff.

Key responsibilities

• Thoroughly check and verify all General Ledgers to identify and correct accounting discrepancies.
• Prepare, review, and post Journal Entries to ensure precise financial recording.
• Monitor weekly AR and AP status reports from Yangon & Mandalay accountants to maintain data precision.
• Collaborate with the sales department and Chief Accountant to minimize overdue accounts and secure cash flow.
• Conduct weekly and monthly inventory audits and reconcile them against Inventory General Ledgers.
• Compile weekly AR and AP aging reports to highlight cash flow trends and pending liabilities.
• Develop cost analysis reports to evaluate departmental expenditures against internal benchmarks.
• Provide technical and operational support for month‑end and year‑end closing transactions within the SAP system.
• Serve as escalation point for subordinate accountants, troubleshooting complex accounting issues.
