Accounting Manager

About the role

The Accounting Manager will lead the finance function, overseeing all accounting operations and ensuring compliance with Myanmar tax regulations. This role provides strategic financial insights to support business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Fixed Assets, Payroll, and Inventory.
• Ensure accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing and reporting.
• Maintain compliance with Commercial Tax, Corporate Income Tax, Withholding Tax and Personal Income Tax.
• Develop and strengthen internal control policies, coordinate audits and resolve findings.
• Manage ERP accounting system, ensuring data accuracy and timely reporting.
• Lead, mentor and develop the accounting team, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis, providing recommendations to management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or ACCA preferred.
• 5–8 years progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of Myanmar taxation and accounting standards.
• Experience in wholesale, import/export, manufacturing, distribution, trading or FMCG is a plus.
• Proficiency in both Myanmar and English (written and spoken).

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems.
• Proficiency in Tally or MYOB accounting software.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
