Anticipatory Action Protocol Specialist (RISE Project)

About the role

World Vision is seeking an Anticipatory Action Protocol Specialist to lead the RISE Project in Myanmar. The role focuses on designing, implementing and monitoring anticipatory action initiatives that protect vulnerable children and communities from disasters.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and develop project designs, implementation plans and budgets in line with quality assurance standards.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, provide progress updates and obtain guidance.
• Ensure beneficiary participation, informed consent and feedback mechanisms throughout the programme.
• Document lessons learned and best practices and share them with partners.
• Monitor projects through field visits, identify corrective actions and capture learning.
• Engage with township‑level disaster management teams and develop community disaster preparedness plans.
• Develop and implement advocacy and resource acquisition plans, track funding status and monitor budget preparation.
• Analyze mitigation expenditures, submit monitoring reports in line with donor requirements and support DRR‑CCA awareness and training.

Required profile

• Proven experience in humanitarian or disaster risk reduction projects, especially anticipatory action.
• Strong ability to coordinate with multiple partners, government agencies and community representatives.
• Experience in budgeting, monitoring, evaluation and reporting to donors.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to facilitate community participation.
