Analytics Engineer (Mid-Level)

About the role

The Analytics Engineer will act as the primary technical owner for data projects, collaborating with cross‑functional stakeholders to define requirements, scope deliverables, and ensure successful user acceptance testing.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Fabric, Azure (ADLS Gen2, Data Factory) and AWS (S3, IAM) with proper RBAC and cost‑effective compute.
• Implement Medallion lakehouse architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) using Delta Lake/Parquet and develop automated ETL/ELT pipelines with Python, SQL and PySpark.
• Orchestrate and monitor workflows via Fabric Pipelines, Azure Data Factory or equivalent, handling scheduling, dependencies, alerts and error recovery.
• Create scalable dimensional data models (star, snowflake, SCD) and enforce data quality, performance tuning, and documentation.

Required profile

• 2‑4+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering or BI development, independently delivering end‑to‑end data solutions.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills to gather and translate business requirements.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL for complex transformations and query optimization.
• Python scripting for API extraction and pipeline automation.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Azure ADLS Gen2.
• Hands‑on knowledge of AWS S3 and IAM.
• Proficiency with PySpark, Delta Lake, Parquet, and lakehouse design patterns.
