Account Director

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Account Director to lead our client portfolio at Newness, a fast‑growing branding and digital marketing agency in Yangon. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will shape strategy, nurture high‑value relationships and drive new‑business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of 4–7 account professionals, setting performance expectations and fostering a collaborative culture.
• Serve as the senior point of contact for key client accounts, maintaining strong relationships with CEOs and directors.
• Oversee account budgets, reporting and billing, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
• Drive new‑business initiatives by creating compelling proposals, pitching to prospects and identifying growth opportunities.
• Define strategic direction for client accounts, collaborating with creative, digital and project teams on integrated campaigns.
• Provide data‑driven insights to optimise campaign performance and client satisfaction.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of experience in account management or client servicing, preferably within a digital marketing, branding or integrated agency.
• Proven track record in new‑business development and high‑stakes pitching.
• Strong leadership and people‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Burmese.
