RAN Design and Solutions Junior Engineer

About the role

The RAN Design and Solutions Junior Engineer supports the Radio Access Network (RAN) team in planning, monitoring and optimizing 2G/3G/4G radio networks. Reporting to the RAN Design and Solutions Manager, the role focuses on KPI analysis, capacity management and coordination of network expansion projects.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor network performance for new and expansion sites, tracking major KPIs for 2G/3G/4G technologies.
• Propose and follow up planning actions such as layer expansions, new site deployments and proactive congestion solutions.
• Coordinate closely with RAN planning, optimization managers, MS SOC and subcontractors to implement design changes.
• Perform basic configuration tasks for new sites, capacity expansions and RRU dismantling.
• Track purchase orders, manage supplier and vendor interactions, and conduct site visits as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of professional experience in radio network planning, optimization or a related field.
• Basic understanding of RF principles, signal propagation and coverage optimization.
• Knowledge of 2G, 3G, 4G LTE (or 5G) network architecture.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret performance data.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Communication or a related discipline.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience with radio frequency (RF) concepts and KPI monitoring.
• Familiarity with 2G, 3G and 4G LTE network technologies.
• Ability to generate capacity and congestion reports.
