Modern Trade Manager

About the role

The Modern Trade Manager will develop and execute sales strategies for the Modern Trade channel, driving revenue growth and market share while managing key accounts and a sales team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales strategies and business plans for supermarkets, hypermarkets and retail chains.
• Lead negotiations on pricing, trade terms, promotional agreements and annual business plans.
• Monitor sales performance, distribution, market share and competitor activity to identify opportunities.
• Coach and develop the Modern Trade sales team to achieve targets.
• Plan and manage trade promotions, in‑store activations, merchandising and visibility programs.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance and other functions to ensure product availability and operational efficiency.
• Prepare and present regular sales performance reports and forecasts to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field.
• 5–7 years of FMCG sales experience, including at least 3 years in a Modern Trade managerial role.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing key accounts.
• Strong negotiation, communication and relationship management abilities.
• Excellent leadership and people‑management skills.
