Hospital Planning & Clinical Development Officer

About the role

The Hospital Planning & Clinical Development Officer will shape clinical strategy for new hospital projects, working closely with senior leadership and specialist teams. This role bridges clinical expertise and project execution to ensure patient‑centered care is embedded from planning through launch.

Key responsibilities

• Support hospital planning, clinical service development, and operational readiness, including feasibility studies and patient‑care pathway design.
• Coordinate clinical requirements across facility layouts, equipment planning, medical technology, and operating procedures.
• Assist with regulatory compliance, clinical governance, patient safety, and accreditation preparation.
• Lead workflow testing, staff orientation, commissioning activities, and service launch while monitoring milestones and preparing management reports.

Required profile

• MBBS or a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management, Public Health, Medical Sciences, or a related discipline.
• 5–10 years of clinical experience with exposure to hospital operations or healthcare project development, or 2–5 years in clinical support/healthcare operations.
• Experience in hospital commissioning, service planning, accreditation, or quality improvement is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of hospital operations, clinical workflows, patient safety, and healthcare regulations.
• Excellent communication skills in Burmese and English.
• Relevant postgraduate qualification or certification in hospital administration, healthcare quality, or project management is a plus.
