About the role
The Community Facilitator will support the implementation of gender‑responsive child protection and mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) activities in camps and hard‑to‑reach areas of Rakhine. Working closely with the Project Assistant and Coordinator, the role ensures children and families receive timely psychosocial assistance, safe referrals and follow‑up services.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, implement, monitor and evaluate child‑focused MHPSS and protection activities in assigned locations.
- Conduct regular monitoring visits to identify protection cases and facilitate access to services.
- Deliver trainings, awareness sessions and PFA (Psychological First Aid) to community members and volunteers.
- Supervise and mentor mobile CFS volunteers and Group PSS facilitators.
- Coordinate with local authorities and community leaders to ensure smooth operation of mobile group support sessions.
- Collect, document and report child protection concerns, ensuring accurate and timely case information.
- Prepare regular reports on programme progress, challenges and outcomes.
- Participate in relevant coordination meetings and networks.
Required profile
- Experience working in child protection, humanitarian or psychosocial support programmes.
- Ability to work in conflict‑affected or hard‑to‑reach settings.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills with children, families and community stakeholders.
- Knowledge of gender‑responsive approaches and safe referral mechanisms.
- Commitment to child safeguarding level 3 requirements.
