Accountant – Full‑time, On‑site in Yangon

About the role

The Accountant at Tori Travel is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Yangon. You will manage day‑to‑day financial operations, ensuring accurate recording of transactions, ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations. The role supports the company’s financial health through reporting, budgeting, and cash‑flow monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Record financial transactions, maintain general ledgers, and reconcile bank statements.
• Prepare periodic financial reports and assist with budgeting processes.
• Monitor expenses, manage cash flow, and support financial reviews.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate invoicing and timely payments.
• Coordinate with internal teams to keep financial records up‑to‑date.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and local regulations.
• Support periodic audits and financial reviews.

Required profile

• Core accounting knowledge: general ledger management, financial reporting, budgeting, and bank reconciliation.
• Experience with accounts payable/receivable, invoice processing, expense tracking, and cash‑flow monitoring.
• Proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheet tools, with basic data analysis abilities.
• Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with a customer‑focused mindset.
• Relevant education (diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field); certifications are a plus.
• Prior experience in accounting or finance, preferably within travel, hospitality, or service industries.
