National Social Media Consultant for Climate Change (remote with travel for 12 months)

About the role

UNICEF Myanmar seeks a consultant to drive its digital presence on climate change, green skills and environmental conservation. The role will create youth‑friendly content, mobilise adolescents and young people online, and support capacity‑building for climate advocacy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement high‑impact social media strategies that engage children, adolescents and young people around climate action and environmental issues.
• Create and curate youth‑friendly digital content (stories, blogs, photos, videos) on climate crises, air pollution and health risks.
• Amplify UNICEF programme messages by collaborating with programme sections and leveraging platforms such as U‑Report.
• Build youth capacity in green skills by strengthening social‑media competencies.

Required profile

• Minimum high school diploma with at least 2 years of professional experience in online content development, social media management, campaign planning and execution.
• Demonstrated integrity, cultural sensitivity and adherence to UNICEF’s core values.
• Good written and oral communication skills in Burmese; English proficiency is an asset.
