Engineering Assistant – Plant Performance & Data Management

About the role

The Engineering Assistant supports plant performance monitoring, data validation, and outage planning for a power generation facility. You will work closely with the EU Lead, plant managers, and external contractors to ensure optimal operation and accurate reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Validate and maintain Fuel Data Management (FDM) data.
• Prepare and review daily plant performance reports.
• Assess gas turbine (GT) performance, compressor efficiency, and advise on water wash schedules.
• Recommend air‑intake filter replacement intervals for GTs.
• Record and analyze fuel gas consumption.
• Coordinate with EPC contractors and OEM engineers for planned outages and schedule outage plans.
• Forecast annual dependable capacity test timing and conduct pre‑ and post‑outage performance tests.
• Participate in root‑cause analysis (RCA), Management of Change (MOC), and other project initiatives.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, GADS and SLC reports and daily performance summaries.
• Lead plant digitalisation projects and advise management on heat‑rate penalties and PONC justification.
• Liaise with EPGE for short‑notice and yearly outage planning.
• Assist plant, operation, and maintenance managers on technical matters, including revenue budgeting and LTSA inspection planning.
