About the role
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a MEAL Assistant to support monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning activities for health, WASH, protection and CVA programmes in Mandalay, Sagaing and Southern Shan. Working under the Senior MERL Manager, you will ensure timely data collection, entry and analysis to inform programme improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with program teams to collect accurate activity data and maintain systematic filing in line with IRC data protection policies.
- Support the electronic database for the assigned sector and assist with timely reporting and presentation preparation.
- Map data collection requirements, assist with outcome surveys, assessments and data translations.
- Conduct field monitoring visits, spot checks and quarterly data quality assurance reviews with IRC staff and partners.
- Provide technical assistance and training to IRC and partner staff on data management tools such as KOBO and CommCare.
Required profile
- Ability to work under direct supervision of the Senior MERL Manager.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
- Willingness to travel to field locations for monitoring visits.
Required skills
- Experience with KOBO data collection platform.
- Familiarity with CommCare mobile data tools.
- Basic data entry, analysis and reporting skills.
