Project-Based Data Engineer – Build Scalable Pipelines

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines on both traditional and cloud platforms. This project‑based position will support enterprise‑wide data reliability initiatives and work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure data consistency, security, and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy scalable ETL pipelines following platform guardrails and security standards.
• Collaborate with data, analytics, and business teams to improve data integration and reliability.
• Provide Level 3 production support, troubleshoot incidents, and perform root‑cause analysis.
• Conduct design, code, and test reviews to enforce quality and compliance.
• Mentor team members on agile practices, continuous delivery, and technical upskilling.
• Participate actively in Scrum ceremonies, reporting progress and blockers.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience building data pipelines using ETL methodologies in on‑premise and cloud environments.
• Experience in financial services, insurance or related domains is a plus.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• ETL development with Microsoft stack: SSIS, SSRS, SQL (Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers).
• Azure technologies: Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure DevOps.
• Data Lake, Synapse, PySpark.
• Business Intelligence tools: Power BI, Tableau (dashboard design, data modeling, performance tuning).
