About the role
The People & Culture Officer will manage the end‑to‑end payroll process, ensure compliance with tax regulations and maintain the HRIS systems (Oracle, On‑Desk & Agresso). The role supports accurate staff payments, data integrity and provides HR reporting for the organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Process monthly payroll on both manual and system platforms, handling calculations, deductions, adjustments, loans, advances and e‑payslip distribution.
- Coordinate with recruitment and finance to update payroll data for new hires, transfers, promotions, terminations and annual increments.
- Maintain and update staff records in Oracle and On‑Desk, generate regular staff lists, benefits data and leave balance reports.
- Ensure compliance with national and international tax laws, statutory deductions and insurance reporting.
- Support internal and external payroll audits and address employee payroll queries.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, HR or related field.
- Proven experience in payroll processing and tax compliance.
- Strong knowledge of local labour laws and statutory requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem‑solving and communication skills.
