Modern Trade Executive

About the role

The Modern Trade Executive is responsible for managing assigned modern trade accounts, driving sales growth and ensuring product availability. The role requires deep understanding of each customer’s business, building strategic relationships and developing joint business plans that support sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute account strategies covering sales, assortment, pricing, promotions, visibility and inventory management.
• Maintain strong relationships with buyers, category managers and key decision‑makers, leading regular business reviews and negotiating listings, promotions and displays.
• Monitor product availability, out‑of‑stock situations and replenishment, working closely with supply‑chain teams to resolve issues.
• Drive merchandising excellence by ensuring optimal shelf placement, display execution and promotional compliance across stores.
• Identify new business opportunities such as new SKUs, additional stores and expanded distribution, and prepare proposals to secure them.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of FMCG sales experience, preferably in modern trade or key‑account management.
• Strong commercial and analytical mindset with ability to interpret sales data and spot growth opportunities.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills for dealing with senior buyers.
• Proactive, results‑driven attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional team.
