Merchant Monitoring

About the role

The Merchant Monitoring role is responsible for overseeing the end‑to‑end monitoring of merchant activities, ensuring transaction integrity and mitigating fraud risk. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to safeguard the payment ecosystem and provide actionable insights to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage overall merchant monitoring operations, setting standards and processes.
• Review daily transactions and monitoring alerts to detect suspicious activity.
• Lead fraud investigations, make timely decisions, and coordinate remediation actions.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Audit, and IT teams to align monitoring efforts with regulatory and security requirements.
• Prepare and present detailed reports on monitoring outcomes and fraud trends to management.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of operations management within a payments or banking environment.
• Knowledge of merchant onboarding processes and due‑diligence procedures.
• Basic compliance knowledge and ability to work with regulatory frameworks.
• 8–10 years of experience in the payment or banking industry, preferably with a focus on fraud or risk.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities to guide teams and influence stakeholders.
