HR Manager

About the role

The HR Manager will lead the human‑resources function for a manufacturing facility, partnering with plant leadership to ensure effective workforce planning, employee engagement and compliance with Myanmar labour regulations. The role oversees recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, payroll inputs and welfare services to maintain a safe and productive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with factory leadership and department heads to understand staffing needs and support manpower planning.
• Lead end‑to‑end recruitment, hiring, onboarding and induction for all factory positions.
• Manage employee relations, grievances, disciplinary actions and engagement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate HR records, contracts, attendance, leave and HRIS data, and produce regular HR reports.
• Coordinate payroll inputs such as attendance, overtime, shift allowances and oversee employee welfare services including uniforms, accommodation and transportation.
• Identify training needs, organise internal and external programmes and monitor completion and effectiveness.
• Drive performance management processes, set KPIs with line managers and handle performance improvement plans.
• Ensure compliance with Myanmar labour laws, company policies and internal procedures, and mitigate HR risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or factory environment.
• Strong knowledge of Myanmar labour legislation and experience handling employee relations, disciplinary matters and payroll coordination.
• Proven ability to work with both senior leadership and frontline staff, and to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting.
