General Manager – Manufacturing Operations

About the role

The General Manager will provide overall leadership for the company’s manufacturing operations in Yangon, ensuring safe, efficient, cost‑effective and high‑quality production while supporting business growth and new product development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all manufacturing and production operations, setting daily, monthly and annual targets aligned with business plans and customer demand.
• Establish and monitor production plans, schedules, resource allocation and KPIs to achieve Quantity, Quality, Cost, Delivery and Safety (QCDS) goals.
• Oversee operational processes across Production, QA/QC, Engineering, Maintenance, Warehouse, Procurement, Planning, R&D, Finance and HR to ensure smooth flow from raw material to delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, equipment efficiency, automation and capacity expansion.
• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance programmes, equipment reliability and investment planning for new machinery.
• Provide leadership for R&D projects on Home Care, Juice, Energy Drink and Electrolyte Beverage products, ensuring scalability and cost‑effectiveness.
• Coach and develop senior production managers, supervisors and engineers, establishing clear objectives, KPIs and succession plans.
• Prepare regular performance reports for senior management and recommend actions to mitigate operational risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, Food Science, Manufacturing or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 10–15 years of progressive manufacturing experience with at least 5 years in senior management (e.g., Plant Manager, General Manager).
• Proven track record of leading large‑scale production facilities and cross‑functional teams.
