First Language English (FLE) Teacher

About the role

The First Language English (FLE) Teacher will deliver high‑quality, engaging English lessons to secondary students at KINGS International School, Pun Hlaing. The role combines classroom teaching, pastoral care, assessment, and participation in school operations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons aligned with the school curriculum and assessment schedules.
• Maintain a stimulating, organized classroom environment and assign purposeful homework.
• Manage Tier‑1 classroom behaviour and escalate higher‑level concerns to pastoral leaders.
• Implement formative and summative assessments, record data and provide constructive feedback.
• Prepare cover lesson plans and fulfil operational duties such as hall monitoring and exam invigilation.
• Participate in departmental assessment moderation, peer observation cycles and CPD activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education or a related field.
• Recognised teaching qualification/certification.
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international school.
• Strong subject knowledge, classroom management and communication skills.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Commitment to safeguarding, professional standards and continuous professional development.
