Business Development & Strategy Manager – Investment Projects

About the role

The Business Development / Strategy Manager will drive high‑impact new business ventures and multi‑sector expansion projects for a diversified group operating in Myanmar. Reporting to senior management, the role provides direct exposure to senior leadership decisions and oversees the full lifecycle of investment opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business, joint‑venture and partnership opportunities across Agriculture, Logistics, Mining, Healthcare, Real Estate and Power.
• Manage opportunities from initial screening and feasibility assessment through investment approval, regulatory development and execution hand‑over.
• Prepare business cases, investment proposals, financial models and management presentations.
• Coordinate due‑diligence activities, Investment Committee submissions and obtain regulatory approvals.
• Engage partners and advisers, support commercial negotiations and manage cross‑functional stakeholders.

Required profile

• Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related field; MBA or CFA advantageous.
• 7–10 years of experience in business development, corporate strategy, investment or project development, preferably in one or more target sectors.
• Strong commercial judgment, analytical ability and executive presentation skills.
• Experience conducting feasibility studies, developing investment proposals and managing projects through approval stages.
• Knowledge of Myanmar’s regulatory environment and experience engaging government stakeholders is a plus.
