Agency Management Manager

About the role

The Agency Management Manager will lead sales and recruitment efforts for Manulife’s agency network in Yangon. Reporting to senior leadership, you will build referral partnerships, motivate talent, and drive the agency’s growth to meet short‑ and long‑term objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Establish sales and referral networks with local businesses to maximise value from connections.
• Lead, motivate and develop talent for the agency district, ensuring effective training and orientation programmes.
• Assess the business landscape and adapt sales and promotion strategies accordingly.
• Develop and execute business plans that meet both short‑term and long‑term objectives.
• Monitor team performance to ensure continuous, sustainable growth.
• Contribute to the overall management of the Agency Distribution area and provide strategic recommendations.
• Manage and execute projects impacting the agency’s operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 8 years of sales experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Proven track record of strategic implementation of distribution strategies and continuous growth.
• Strong understanding of business diversity and ability to prospect and close sales.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Leadership, strategic mindset and ability to handle conflicts and self‑motivate in challenging situations.
• Tech‑savvy with a willingness to adopt digital tools; basic knowledge of insurance product features is a plus.
