Accounting Manager

About the role

The Accounting Manager is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Yangon Region, Myanmar, responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage general ledger activities, supervise journal entries, and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Monitor fixed assets, oversee reconciliations, and review account balances for accuracy.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes and coordinate with internal and external auditors.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and local regulatory requirements.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team while implementing process improvements.
• Provide financial analysis to support management decisions.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in preparing and reviewing financial statements with solid finance knowledge.
• Experience in tracking, valuing, and reporting fixed assets, including depreciation and disposals.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or ACCA certification is a plus.
• Hands‑on experience with accounting software and ERP systems, and strong MS Excel skills.
• Knowledge of Myanmar accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to lead and develop an accounting team with good communication and organizational skills.
• Experience in month‑end and year‑end closing processes and working with auditors is beneficial.
