Upper Primary English Teacher

About the role

We are looking for an Upper Primary English Teacher to plan and deliver engaging English lessons that develop students' language skills, confidence, and ability to communicate effectively. The role involves creating a positive learning environment and supporting academic progress for upper primary students.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver age‑appropriate English lessons aligned with the school curriculum and learning objectives.
• Teach reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, vocabulary and comprehension skills.
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, worksheets and other learning resources.
• Maintain clear learning objectives, appropriate lesson pace and effective classroom routines.
• Use a range of teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs and abilities.
• Monitor student participation, understanding and progress, providing support as needed.
• Assess learning through classwork, homework, quizzes, tests, projects and other activities.
• Mark and review student work regularly, offering constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of achievement, assessment results and progress.
• Identify students needing additional support or extension and implement appropriate strategies.
