Trainer for Wildlife Monitoring Data Organizing, Analysis and Modeling

About the role
WWF-Myanmar seeks a qualified trainer to deliver a five‑day intensive course on camera‑trap data management, analysis, and ecological modeling. The training will take place in Yangon during October‑November 2026 and aims to strengthen the capacity of conservation practitioners across Myanmar.
Key responsibilities
- Assess participants' backgrounds and training needs.
- Develop comprehensive training materials, presentations, exercises, and datasets.
- Deliver a blended program of lectures, demonstrations, and hands‑on sessions.
- Guide participants through real camera‑trap datasets using R.
- Provide step‑by‑step instructions for data analysis and modeling.
- Submit all training materials, analysis scripts, and a brief completion report with feedback and recommendations.
Required profile
- Proven expertise in wildlife monitoring and camera‑trap data analysis.
- Experience designing and delivering technical training.
- Strong understanding of ecological study design and conservation decision‑making.
Required skills
- R programming language.
- camtrapR package for data organization.
- Occupancy analysis, N‑mixture models, distance sampling, SECR, and nest‑survival analysis.
- Statistical modeling and interpretation of ecological data.
