Store Accountant

About the role

The Store Accountant will be based on‑site in Mingaladon, supporting the daily financial operations of a retail store. This full‑time position ensures that all sales, expenses and cash movements are accurately recorded and reported.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily store transactions, including sales, expenses and cash movements, in the accounting system.
• Prepare and reconcile cash, bank and inventory reports, verifying supporting documents.
• Monitor and investigate discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
• Assist with month‑end closing activities and generate financial summaries for management.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Collaborate closely with store operations, procurement and management teams to maintain transparent financial records.

Required profile

• Strong accounting and bookkeeping background with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum LCCI Level 2; professional certifications are a plus.
• Prior experience in retail accounting or store finance is preferred but not mandatory.
• High attention to detail, ethical conduct and ability to handle confidential information.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work on‑site in a fast‑paced retail environment.
