Software Safety Architect

About the role

Expleo is looking for a Software Safety Architect to lead the definition, implementation and verification of safety mechanisms for safety‑critical software components. The role supports clients in ensuring that software meets ASIL A/B requirements and that critical data flows are protected throughout the development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse safety requirements and critical design documents (SSDD), ensuring consistency with TSC/FSC specifications.
• Perform Critical Path Analysis to assess the impact of changes on safety‑relevant software modules and trigger corrective actions.
• Define and coordinate the implementation of safety mechanisms in Application Software Components (ASWC) together with software architects.
• Plan, execute and oversee Software‑In‑the‑Loop (SIL) testing to validate that safety requirements are fully satisfied.
• Conduct independent safety analyses on each critical ASWC delivery, identifying and mitigating any adverse effects on critical data.

Required profile

• Proven experience in safety‑critical software development and safety analysis.
• Strong understanding of functional safety standards and ASIL classification.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent analytical and documentation skills.
