About the role
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a Senior Protection Information Officer to lead information‑dissemination and referral activities in Kachin, Myanmar. Reporting to the Protection Manager (Kachin), you will design outreach materials, manage referral pathways, and support data management for the protection team.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct weekly field visits to villages and urban areas to inform communities about their rights and available services.
- Organise and facilitate group information sessions, record attendance and collect feedback.
- Design and implement information campaigns (leaflets, posters, radio spots, bulletin boards) based on monitoring data.
- Map service networks with protection mobilisers and establish referral mechanisms.
- Act as the focal point for inter‑agency referral pathways, coordinating with partners and advocating at the state level.
- Maintain and update referral outcome tracking database and support other protection data entry tasks.
Required profile
- Myanmar national with experience in humanitarian protection or community outreach.
- Strong communication and public‑speaking abilities.
- Proven ability to work independently in remote field settings.
