About the role
The Senior Program Manager will provide overall leadership and technical guidance to CRS’s agriculture, livelihoods and market systems development portfolio in Myanmar. You will lead assessments, program design, and scale‑up of value‑chain pilots while ensuring high‑quality implementation and learning across the portfolio.
Key responsibilities
- Lead CRS’s agriculture, livelihoods and market systems development portfolio, providing technical leadership for sector strategy, assessments, studies and learning initiatives.
- Oversee program design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and learning to ensure strategic objectives are met and technical quality standards are upheld.
- Manage relationships with donors, partners, private‑sector actors and community stakeholders to foster collaboration, innovation and scale‑up of value‑chain pilots.
- Supervise and mentor staff, oversee staffing plans, performance management and staff well‑being.
- Coordinate with the M&E team to design and implement monitoring systems, data collection tools and reporting mechanisms.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, agricultural economics, rural development, international development, economics, business or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience managing or providing technical leadership to agriculture, livelihoods, economic strengthening or market‑systems programmes, preferably in an I/NGO.
- At least 3 years of supervisory experience, including performance evaluation, coaching and mentoring.
- Proven experience leading assessments, analyses, programme design and learning initiatives.
- Advanced oral and written English and fluency in Myanmar language.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite – Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Publisher.
- Strong budget management capabilities.
- Project management experience.
