Senior Manager – Relationship Manager (SME)

About the role

The Senior Manager – Relationship Manager (SME) will lead the development and management of SME banking relationships, driving growth of loan and deposit portfolios while ensuring strong credit quality and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to expand SME loan, deposit and product portfolios.
• Identify, acquire and retain SME customers, building long‑term relationships.
• Analyse business operations, financial statements and cash flows to assess creditworthiness.
• Structure and recommend credit facilities that match client needs and bank policies.
• Monitor portfolio performance, repayment trends and early warning signals to limit credit risk.
• Collaborate with Credit, Risk, Operations and other departments to ensure timely service delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, Economics or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
• 5–8 years of SME banking experience, including lending, credit analysis and portfolio management.
• Proven track record of achieving loan disbursement, deposit and revenue targets.
• Experience leading or supervising a relationship‑management team.
• Strong knowledge of banking regulations, KYC and credit risk controls.
