Senior Manager, Legal Counsel

About the role

The Senior Manager, Legal Counsel provides critical legal, regulatory and governance support to the business, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations and corporate requirements while enabling business growth and operational objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, negotiate, review and modify contracts and agreements supporting various business activities.
• Provide legal advice on insurance, commercial enterprise, civil, contract and intellectual property matters.
• Conduct legal research, interpret regulatory changes and advise on risk management.
• Oversee corporate secretarial functions, including board and shareholder meetings, resolutions and statutory compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) with 8‑10 years of post‑qualification legal experience.
• Licensed Advocate or practising lawyer; Master’s degree (LL.M.) in Business, Corporate or related law is a plus.
• Strong background in commercial contract drafting, corporate and commercial law, regulatory compliance and corporate governance.
• Experience in the insurance, financial services or other regulated industries.
