Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will join Fortune International Limited’s finance team in Yangon, overseeing the full spectrum of accounting activities. This full‑time, on‑site position ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance, and support for strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Manage general ledger entries, month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Prepare, review and present financial statements, budgets, forecasts and variance analyses.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, bank and subsidiary ledger reconciliations.
• Monitor cash flow, budgeting and financial planning activities.
• Coordinate tax filings and ensure compliance with local tax regulations.
• Support internal and external audits, maintaining documentation for auditors.
• Identify and improve internal controls and accounting processes.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to provide financial insights to management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or ACCA preferred.
• Significant experience in senior accounting roles, preferably within infrastructure, construction or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards and Myanmar tax regulations.
• Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines with high attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting financial information.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP accounting systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
