Quality Assurance Manager

About the role

The Quality Assurance Manager ensures that every product manufactured is safe, compliant, and consistently meets required quality standards. This senior position leads the quality team, oversees laboratory testing, and drives continuous improvement across the manufacturing operation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall quality control function, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, HACCP, and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee laboratory testing of raw materials, in‑process products, and finished goods.
• Manage product release processes, non‑conformance investigations, and corrective/preventive actions.
• Monitor quality performance indicators and implement continuous‑improvement projects.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply‑chain teams to enhance product quality and process capability.
• Support internal, customer, certification, and regulatory audits, maintaining audit readiness.
• Manage supplier quality issues and ensure incoming material compliance.
• Lead, coach, and develop quality team members to foster a high‑performance culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Dairy Technology, Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related field.
• 8‑10 years of Quality Control/Assurance experience in FMCG Food & Beverage manufacturing, with at least 4 years in a managerial role.
• Hands‑on experience with laboratory testing, food safety systems, HACCP, audit management, and quality improvement programs.

Required skills

• Quality Management Systems: ISO 9001, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, BRC.
• HACCP and Food Safety Management.
• Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Process Capability Analysis (Cpk).
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and CAPA.
• Laboratory & Microbiological Testing.
• ERP/LIMS systems (SAP QM preferred).
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (Black Belt preferred).
• HACCP Level 3 certification.
• FSSC 22000/BRC Lead Auditor certification (highly preferred).
