Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability and business correctness of BOSS – our ERP/POS platform for SMEs. The role is primarily manual testing with a path toward automation, covering end‑to‑end business transactions across POS, sales, purchasing, inventory, accounting, production, payments and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Review requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria; design and execute functional, regression, smoke, integration and exploratory tests for web back‑office and Flutter POS applications.
• Validate complete workflows such as purchase‑receive‑bill‑payment, sales‑invoice‑payment, POS sale‑shift close‑accounting and related processes.
• Verify core ERP and financial logic including inventory movements, FIFO/Weighted Average Cost, double‑entry postings, journal entries and payment settlements.
• Test REST APIs with tools like Postman, perform basic MongoDB checks and ensure data integrity across requests, responses and database records.
• Cross‑check reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Trial Balance, General Ledger, etc.) against underlying transactions and trace discrepancies.
• Identify, reproduce and document defects in Jira, create clear tickets with steps, expected results and severity, and retest fixes.
• Conduct staging, release and post‑deployment sanity testing and communicate release risks.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with ability to think beyond individual screens and validate whole business transactions.
• Comfortable learning double‑entry accounting and ERP business logic.
• Experience in manual functional testing of web and mobile applications.
• Attention to detail and ability to produce clear defect reports.
