Purchasing & Planning Manager

About the role

Jotun Myanmar is seeking a Purchasing & Planning Manager to lead operational purchasing, ensuring optimal inventory and availability of raw materials, purchased finished goods and packaging materials. The role reports to the Operations Manager and is based in Yangon.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the local purchasing function, coaching the team to meet Jotun’s current and future needs.
• Facilitate cross‑functional cooperation to plan and execute RM/PFG/DPM orders in line with price agreements.
• Negotiate price agreements and manage supplier performance, shortages and non‑conformances.
• Evaluate logistics solutions, considering packaging, lot size, transport and customs regulations.
• Support GP category managers in identifying and auditing local suppliers.
• Manage indirect material spending, delegate low‑value purchases and ensure invoice control.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of operational purchasing/procurement management experience.
• Experience with import regulations, customs clearance and site inspections.
• Strong communication skills in Burmese and English.
• Proven ability to identify commercial opportunities and manage risks.

• ERP systems – SAP, IFS, Oracle.
